Special Operations Apparatus
The Special Operations Division is made up of New Brickton's Elite Firefighters. Each company operates specialized apparatus in order to carry their specialized pieces of equipment. At any incident requiring long term operation of any of the specialized companies the Special Operations Chief is called. The Special Operations Chief or SOC works along with the incident commander in commanding the Special Operation Companies to the most usefull task. (Each Squad Engine Company can operate as a regular Engine Company for alarm in their first due and second due areas.)
Special Operations Battalion
The Special Operations Chief (SOC) operates a 2005 Chevy Suburban with LED Lighting Package.
Squad Engine Companies
The three specialized Squad Engine Companies are trained in motor vehicle extrication, Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), Haz-Mat operations, and crash rescue. Squad Engine 1 is responds as the first due squad for all downtown and south central locations of Battalion 3. Squad Engine 4 responds to as the first due squad to Battalion 2 which covers the Lego Metro Parkway. Squad 16 is the first due Squad for all Midtown and Northeast Side calls. Squad 16 is the second due Squad to all downtown alarms. The Squad Engine Companies are a valuable asset to the New Brickton Fire Service. They provide additional resources at emergency scenes making operations run more smoothly and safely.
Squad Engine 1
Squad Engine 1 is a 2008 Pierce Quantum PUC with a 1500 gpm pump, 500 gallon water tank, and a 50 gallon foam tank. Squad Engine 1 is the first due Squad for all downtown alarms.
Squad Engine 4
New Brickton Fire/Rescue has taken delivery of a 2011 KME Predator rescue engine. The chassis features a LFD cab with 16 inch raised roof, seating for 6 firefighters, and equipment storage in the cab. Squad 4 is fitted with a 1500 gpm pump, 500 g water tank, and 30 g foam tank. The truck is also fitted with a 30 foot light tower, coffin compartments, cab mounted tank level lights, and truck mounted extrication system.
The truck features 5 pre-connected hand lines which include, one 150 ft. 1 3/4" bumper mounted trash line, two 200 ft. 1 3/4" cross lays, one 400 ft. 2" attack line off the rear, and one 150 ft. 2 1/2" line off the rear. Supply hose consists of 1200 ft. of 5" supply line and 300 ft. of 3" reverse lay.

Squad 16
New Bricktons Squad 16 is a 2007 Pierce Arrow XT with a 1500 gpm pump and 500 gallon water tank and rescue style body. Squad 16 covers the Northeast Side of New Brickton as the first due squad as well as Central New Brickton. Special thanks to Bob K. of the Lego Twp. FD for the body design.
Rescue 1
Rescue 1 is a 2008 Pierce Dash Heavy Duty walk through rescue. Rescue 1 is staffed by 1 officer and 5 firefighters per shift and responds to Battalion 1 and portions of Battalion 3 as the first due Rescue. Rescue 1 specialized operations consist of collapse rescue, water rescue, low and high angle rescue, motor vehicle extrication, rapid intervetion team (RIT), and crash rescue.

Rescue 2
Rescue 2 is a 2008 Spartan Gladiator with Marion Body with partial walk in body. Rescue 2 covers Battalion 2 and portions of Battalion 3 as the first due rescue company. Rescue 2 just like Rescue 1 they specialize in collapse rescue, water rescue, low and high angle rescue, motor vehicle extrication, rapid intervetion team (RIT), and crash rescue.
Haz-Mat 1
Haz-Mat 1 is a 2008 Pierce Saber custom command cab rescue. The unit carries a full complement of haz-mat gear, data base/books, decon equipment, two 30 ft. light towers, scene lighting, monitoring equipment, and communications equipment. The New Haz-Mat 1 was purchased through a Homeland Security Grant to increase the Special Operations capabilities of the eastern portion of the Lego Metro Area.
Haz-Mat 2
Haz-Mat 2 is a 2008 Kenworth T300 four door cab with a Pierce Contender Rescue body. Haz-Mat 2 carries additional equipment, and is the main personell mover of the Haz-Mat Company. Haz-Mat 2 is quartered at Fire Station 1 with Squad 1 and Haz-Mat 1.
TAC 1
Tactical Support Unit 1 (TAC 1) is a 1990 Grumman Step Van which carries extra techincal rescue equipment not carried on Rescue 1. TAC 1 is cross staffed by a member of Rescue 1 when it is needed. Special thanks goes to Jeff C. from Sixby Fire for the design of this unit.
Engine 19
Engine 19 is a 2008 Ford F-550 with Pierce Body and has a 500gpm pump, 200g water tank, and 20g foam tank. Engine 19 is also equiped with a CAFS System and large deluge gun that can be supplied by an Engine Co. This truck too was purchased though a Homeland Security Grant to increase the fire protection to limited response areas of the water front in New Brickton. This truck is staffed year round, 24 hrs a day by two firefighters who respond from Fire Station 19. Special thanks to Mike L. from North Lerado Count Fire Dept.
Fire Boat 1
Fire Boat 1 is a 2008 Firestorm 30 aluminum fireboat fitted with a 1500 gpm Hale pump. FB-1 is fitted with dual monitors and a booster line for firefighting. The boat is staffed by 1 officer(operator), 1 firefighter/EMT, 2 diver/firefighter/EMTper shift. The purchase of the boat was made by a Federal Homeland Security Grant that was awarded to New Brickton.
