New Brickton Regional Airport: Airport Rescue FireFighting (ARFF)
The New Brickton Regional Airport was founded in 1975 with funds allocated from city and federal funding. Approximately one square mile of land was chosen in the southwestern portion of New Brickton for the airport grounds.
Currently the airport operates 4 main runways and 3 auxiliary/public runways. The terminal offers 10 gates for domestic flights to the Lego Metro and Legoland Areas. There is also a small number of vendors located within the terminal for rental cars, food services, and merchandise.
The city of New Brickton Fire/Rescue provides emergency response for the airport and buildings located on airport grounds. Currently New Brickton Fire/Rescue staffs 40 firefighters who operate on four shifts of 10 firefighters. The regional airports fire station is designated as Fire Station 20 and is located on the northeast side of the grounds. Four pieces of apparatus operate from the station and are first due to incidents on the airport grounds. The services offered are fire suppression, minor vehicle extrication, first responder service, and ARFF Crash Rescue.
