New Brickton Firefighters were dispatched in the mid morning hours on Thursday, to the report of a structure fire at 270 Robinwood. Engine 18 was the first to arrive and reported a 2-story wood fame dwelling, with fire showing from side A, division 2 and established command. Engine 18 placed a 1 3/4'' line into service, the 2nd Engine due; Engine 5 secured 18's water supply and placed a 2nd line into service. Ladder 4 had vent and primary search duties. Battalion 3 marked on scene and assumed command from Engine 18 officer. Additional companies arriving provided back up lines, throwing ladders, secondary search, and RIT. The fire was reported under control 15 mins after the initial dispatch, but crews remained on scene for approx. 2 hours preforming overhaul. The fire is believe to be electrical in nature. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

New Brickton Firefighters were alerted at 0315hrs for the report of a house on fire with people trapped at 320 Upland Avenue in the Northern section of Battalion 1. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 3 story ordinary with heavy fire showing from side C division I. Two occupants were rescued via ground ladder from division II on side A while an aggressive interior attack and search were initiated. Firefighters were forced from the structure as heavy fire extened up the rear stairs to division II. Firefighters were forced to evacuate from the structure, and start a defensive attack. Battalion 1 requested a 2nd Alarm bring additional firefighters to the scene to control the original fire building, plus the fire had extended to the the exposure D building. Firefighters were also forced to evactuate from this structure due to heavy fire conditions, firefighters were finally able to bring both structures under control 1 1/2 hours into the incident but companies remained on scene into the mid morning hours assisting in investigation. Two civilains were injured, 2 children and 1 adult were found on division III of the orginal fire building. No other firefighter injuries were reported. The fire was started in the kitchen from an unattended pot on the stove.

New Brickton Firefighters responded to a late afternoon fire in the Cherry Hill section of the city, they responded to a report of a structure fire at 2303 Ashland Road. Engine 7 arrived and reported a two-story wood frame structure, with heavy fire and smoke showing on side C. Fire crews stretched lines to the 1st, 2nd floor, and a line to side C of the structure to check for fire extension under the siding. All searches proved negative by Squad 1, and Tower 1 had vent operations. Battalion 1 reported the fire under control 30 mins. into the incident, but crews remained on scene for 2 hours overhauling. The fire was determined to have been started by an unattended grill on the back porch. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.

New Brickton Firefighters were alerted for a report of a hanger on fire at the New Brickton Regional Airport. The original dispatched for the alarm was for Engine 8, 17, 3, 6, Towers 6 and 2, Squad 4, Rescue 2, Quick Attack 1, Crash Rescue 1, Battalions 2 and 3, SOC Chief and the Airport Commander.
The Tour Commander was first to arrive and reported a working fire in a hanger approx 50x130 with no exposures, and asked for the Haz-Mat Company to respond. Firefighters arrived and quickly went to work attacking the fire, Crash Rescue 1 was positioned on side B of the building and used their Snozzle to extinguish the seat of the fire by using the piercing nozzle though the roof. The Haz-Mat Company arrived and went to work testing the contents, run off, and air quality. All test came back negative for any sort of unusual contaminants or hazardous output. Firefighters cleared the scene with in two hours of the initial dispatch, the fire is under investigation. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.

New Brickton Firefighters were dispatched to 24 Eden Road for the report of a garage on fire. Engine 9 was first to arrive and laid a line, Squad 4 picked up Engine 9's line. Fire crews opened up the garage, and knocked down the fire, Battalion 2 had command. After the fire was knocked down the incident was scaled back to Engines 9, 6, Squad 4, Tower Ladder 2, and Battalion 2. Firefighters cleared the scene approx. one hour after the initial dispatch. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.

New Brickton Squad 1 firefighters were dispatched to the report of a car fire on the New Brickton Parkway, eastbound, near the 10th Street Exit. Firefighters arrived, and secured the scene by placing the apparatus across both eastbound lanes. Firefighters extinguished the car fire with in 10 minutes, and cleared. New Brickton Police continued to keep one lane of traffic closed until the car was removed. The fire was electrical in nature.

Shortly before 1000hrs on New Years Day, a box alarm was transmitted for a report of a structure fire at 1905 Georgetown Avenue. The box assignment consisted of Engines 10, 11, 18, 13, Ladder 3, Tower 6, Squad 16, Rescue 2, Battalions 3 and 2, and the SOC Chief.
Battalion 3 was first to arrive and reported a vacant one story brick structure, approximately 100x150, with heavy smoke showing on side A and from the roof, and established command. Engine 10 arrived and took their own hydrant which was across the street. Crews from Ladder 3 went to work opening up garage doors, and taking bars of the windows, so that a defensive attack could be mounted. Engine 10 placed into service their deck gun and a 2 1/2 inch line, Engine 11 was the send Engine to arrive an laid in, and had Engine 18 secure their water supply. Crews from Engine 11 placed in service their truck mounted deck gun as well as. Ladder 3 was repositioned so Tower 6 could be placed in service, and a second alarm was requested by Battalion 3. The second alarm brought Engine 17 and 5, Ladder 4, Squad 4, Battalion 1, and the Tour Commander to the scene. The Tour Commander marked on scene an assumed command, and assigned Battalion 3 to operations officer, and Battalion 1 to staging.
Ladder 4's aerial master stream was utilized on the A/D corner of the building. Rescue 2 was assigned to check exposure D, which was a mixed commercial/residential two story structure. No extension was found, the fire was placed under control at noon, and command started to release companies back into service. Firefighters cleared the scene around 1300hrs, no firefighter or civilian injures were reported. The fire is under investigation by the New Brickton Fire Marshal.
